I've just bought the Sony Ericsson C905 and when I take a picture it doesn't add the location of where I was when I took the picture. I have enabled it in the camera options. My provider is o2.

You can debrand the handset, I have and I can now view my geo-tags on Google Maps.
Orange are going to make viewing of GeoTags possible via Orange Maps once it is available apparantly.

Ok thanks also I've got a new problem. When I go to open navigation nothing happens. I've restarted the phone but that didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Again, blame o2.
The lastest o2 firmware is R1BA038, many people are saying this firmware takes up to 20 mins to find satellites.
When you debrand, you can install the UK firmware R1BA042, which usually finds the satellites in 1 minute. Also be aware GPS only really works outdoors.
The best thing you can do for now is to debrand you handset.
After 4 hours of receiving my Orange handset I had realised and done it. Then I was happy. I have no idea what orange/o2/voda are playing at messing with the sony designed firmware, which is perfect and gets updated regularly. Imagine that once Sony update their offering, we have to wait months for Orange/o2/voda to spoil it and give us their waste of time release.
Cut out the middle man, debrand your phone, you'll not be sorry :0)

You'll find one mate. Honestly, that Orange fw was bloody awful.
Every time you take a picture, it all goes light grey and asks what you want to do with it... I WANT TO LOOK AT THE EFFING PICTURE YOU @*%T!
Like I've said the fact orange is 2 firmwares behind just shows the level of the playing field.

I checked my software information and it says
"1205-9079
R1BA042
081028
Sony Ericsson"
Shouldn't it say o2 if thats whose firmware I am using?

Depends, where did you get the phone?
Direct from O2 or via a shop like CPW?
Sounds like your phone is already unbranded. But then you shouldn't be having issues with geo tagging if it's unbranded.
