Hello all,

I have a c905 on Orange (UK) and after reading various posts on here, decided to debrand it so I could actually use all of the features!

I started by using the TotalGSM service. This did not work and bricked my phone. After help from them, I managed to revert the software back to the Orange version which did work.

I then tried the Davinci Team service. The first attempt did not work, and again bricked my phone. After a support request, they restored my credits and advised me to use a different software version. I did this and have again bricked my phone. I am still waiting for them to reply to my support request. I would really like to un-brick my phone!

Each time the problem seemed to be the same - all would go fine until it tried to start the file system. This kept failing, and so resulted in it being unable to copy the files accross.

I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems. I have read other Orange users who have completed this OK, so I'm not sure if it is just an Orange problem - or might I have a faulty phone?

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

Alex

Can anyone who has debranded their Orange c905 let me know exactly how they did it, with who, and what FW version they used?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex, before i sent my previous C905 back to to the "having to turn speaker phone on to listen to people talk" i used the Davinci Team to debrand my phone was £8.50? - it worked first time without any hitches. I was on Orange just like you are too.

However, im hoping theres some cheaper alternatives, because i dont fancy paying 8.50 again, to yet again find there is a fault on my phone.

I have used Total GSM services for both unbranding & unlocking - just y'day (25 Nov 08) for my C905. It was very much successful in the 1st attempt and I did it for the 1st time ever.

The network was Orange UK and used the help as mentioned in the Total GSM forum.

I have also updated the software over-the-air (from SE update servie on the phone) after unlocking and unbranding - and it was breeze too.

Cheers / Rajesh
