This topic is for those who have desparately tried and failed to mod their A200/DB3150 phone, whether it be a system/usb driver problem, etc.

I cannot get my computer detect my phone (K850i) in flash mode. It goes into mass storage mode. I know that a lot of people suffer from the same issue. I tried the same on my friend's laptop and it worked with great ease!!! I am sure the drivers are installed properly on my system.

Is this a computer usb chipset problem? Please share ur thoughts, guys

These problems might have been already mentioned in other threads, but I think it is worth starting a new thread exclusively for such a problem

I can confirm that desktops tend to NOT detect the phone when you use an USB port extension. As in: Computer USB extension cable/slot Data cable & Phone
The above happens on my XP, while on my laptop (which runs Vista) it runs smoothly. Then suddenly one day my desktop can detect the phone and never had a problem since. Weird.

If you're having trouble installing USB drivers or you're not very sure how to do it, try installing SEUS and testing with it ...

Good luck!

This is exactly what I did in order:
1. I downloaded A2uploader bundle from rapidshare and installed the driver and tried to connect the phone while keeping a2uploader open and with 'C' pressed. But my phon turned on. System showed that a problem occurred during installation. So, I went to device manager. Under hidden devices, there was unknown device. I updated the driver. My system shows that the driver is installed and ready for use. I unplugged the phone and connected again holding C. Again phone turns on.
2. I uninstalled and installed again many times, but the same thing happens.
3. So, I downloaded and installed SEUS latest version and tried again. No hope again.

I even reinstalled my windows!!!

Any ideas?

I am not new to modding/flashing. I have flashed and modded K750, w810, K790, K510, etc. They all went smoothly.

I think the semc flash drivers are installed correctly and they are for DB3150 models, because the same works on my friend's laptop.

Hi,
I met the same trouble when I tried to flash my C702.
My case was solved by connecting USB cable directly to PC's USB port where I had been connecting via USB hub.

Hope this helps
