I know it's an old SE but my k750i will not INCREASE it's volume whilst playing audio. I'm pretty certain it's due to a faulty up or increase rocker button upon the side of the phone. The down or decrease button works fine.
I've searched the net for a way to fix this or get around this by modding the firmware, etc and then using the keypad for volume control but alas my search has been to no avail
Is anybody able to help here with this problem?

Thanks a lot,
k750man.

probably needs a clean.. k750 is not hard to take apart and put back together, you'll need a torx set... you can pick this up on ebay for a couple of monies!

Thanks a lot!
I've taken these apart many times
I've dropped in some acetone [I don't have switch cleaner ] and the up buttonn is still faulty
Acetone (in the absence of switch cleaner) has revived a couple of joysticks for me with these phones.
Thanks for the tip though!

I was wondering if the switch could be removed and replaced with another as I have a couple of spairs from a faulty pcb off another k750i

Anyone removed and replaced these switches?
Thanks,
k750man.

Hi all,
I touched the solder point onto the pcb with a soldering iron and now the switch works fine
Initially I put more solder on each of the four contact points and then shorted two of them This caused a second fault to occur with the joystick, upon selecting right selection whilst within the phones main menu the phone opened up it's calls list and then tried to connect to the internet - weird!!!!!

I removed the excess solder I put on and now everthing works perfect
Just thought I'd share my experience, weird I know but it may help someone?
Thanks to all responders to my original post
