Well folks, I just want to get a definate answer from you knowledgeable folks before I hook up my precious W890i with Vodafone firmware but unlocked, letting me use my O2 SIM, to the SEUS in case it restores network locks!

if it was unlocked by cable/box, etc it wont lock it up again.

Err, I'm not sure how it was unlocked! Is the cable thing not the only way for that generation of phone or is that wishful thinking on my part?

When I plug it into the SEUS I get a message telling me that there's new VFE-LIVE-A CDF1205-3639 firmware available. Will this not lock me back to blinkin scrote-a-fone again? :s

if its a voda version... and brought recently its possible that it was UNLOCKED as standard...

Also SEUS is saying that it has a NEW VODA update for you... as its a Network Branded handset...
