Hello there..About a week ago I bought a w910i and it is really slow, and especially when the memory stick is on(respond time is about a sec late)..Is there any way to make it faster..? Any ideas..? I thought of having a firmware of an other model with the same resolution, not so complicated menus and stuff like that..

I don't know many things about phones, so please forgive me if there are any mistakes..

Thank you for your time..

Hey Matey, the W910i cant be flashed to the firmware of another handset. however, what firmware are you on now? giving a bit more details about what you have would help a lot. what size memory card are you using?

I wouldn't say that the phone is the most responsive in the world but with my handset (R1FA035, 8gb card, 1700songs, 1000pictures, 800 text messages in inbox) the phone is pretty damn fast, opening the track list takes about a sec and inbox about 2 seconds.

However, when music is playing things get about 2-3 seconds slower opening- still nowhere near as bad as the first few firmwares...

My firmware is prg12009123_GENERIC_SH R1FA035 that I think is the same as yours, but my memory card is 4GB with 1200 songs and nothing else:)...Most responsive..? my Z530i & W660i are really faster than this..this is slow without the card and even slower with it(for example in the menu, no matter the theme when the memory card is inserted the response time is about 0.5 sec..the other two are no-latency..I don't know why..

Backup up everything on your Memory Card and format it from the phone.

your complaining about 0.5 second response time? someone is going to brick me for this but I've tried using a mates nokia n92- i got bored of waiting.

the menus on the newer SE phones are animated to some extent. this is prob your so called "lag" you can still navigate around while it "scrolls down" the menu into place.

the "H" shows that the phone is in hsdpa area of signal- uber high speed 3G. If you want it gone you need to disable the 3G in the connections menu.

but seriously under a second to load a menu ain't that bad. just need to get used to it and you'll find you get around the phone faster than it can and it will still be where you want it when it finishes spazzin out

so..there isn't any way to speed it up huh..? I really like that model, but my only problem is this..I'm confused about why my previous phones were no-latency and my NEW AND "BETTER" than all them is slower..and it's more expensive too..! Are there any other firmware versions of w910i without this kind of media menu..? The old navigating style was much better(I think..)..And I've got another problem too..it's restarting many times..and most of them is when I insert the memory card..

I've got a W910 with 2gb mc. It runs nowhere near as smoothly as my old W850 with 4gb mc. Very disappointing, but I deal with it. Most likely I'll be opting out of SE unless they fix their product lineup.
