Dear Esato members,
I posted a request to Sony Ericsson on
http://getsatisfaction.com/ it would be great if people who feel the same about this would support me. The request is about producing an almost duplicate successor to the w810i (the best phone ever made).
You can find the request here:

I would not agree, the W902, to start, is significantly bigger (taller) than the w810i, uses a different button layout etc.
You might call me picky, but I imagine it would be very easy for Sony Ericsson to simply upgrade some hardware on the old w810i and sell it as a new phone.

This seems a very pointless exercise.

Maybe, but I think it's worth a shot.
As I cannot post anymore messages on my first day as a new member I respond to messages below in this message.
I don't ask to start restart production of the w810i, I would be better of searching for one that has been used very little.
I am asking to update it to modern hardware size and specs, but keep everything else the same.

So what you are asking

to do is start making a phone again that they stopped making about 2 years ago.

I think that this idea is useless... Remember that making what you are proposing never had succes (e.g. Razr V3i)... Apart of the fact that the W902 for many W810 users is a good successor it would be difficult to fit a 2.2" or even 2.4" screen in such a "short" design...

Another fact is that you want the old keypad layout, but that's long gone in the A100 phones, this is present day and it's A200 with the totally redesigned keypad (which in my opinion is a great improvement) the W810i was not that amazing really, it was not one of SE's highlight's phone like the K750i One person signing up for that is not going to make a massive company to start producing a new handset.
