> W910I [MPS - 70] confusing volume problem

I recently got some new mps - 70's for my W910I
when i attatch them they work fine but the volume control wont work, when i turn it down all the way it still plays full blast :S but when i attach them to my m8s W580I they work fine and so does the volume control. It isnt my phone to because when i play music through my phone speaker on walkman i can control the volume and so can i when i listen through headphones but they wont work on my m8s W910I either
so f***ing confusing
any help plz
