I bought a C702 from CWS 3 days ago and I have a slight problem with this phone that is causing a lot of frustration.
I've tried the following 3 firmware R3CA037, R3DA029, and R3DA032.
Each firmware has its own problem which is really annoying...
R3CA037 - Camera works BARELY, extremely slow, literally 30 seconds to startup, focuses quick, but if i take a picture, takes at least 30 seconds to save and then ANOTHER 30 seconds before it goes back to the viewfinder, if i don't take a picture, but i focus it, it still takes 30 seconds for the viewfinder to show up again. Google Maps works but I cannot close it, i have to pull the battery.
R3DA029 - Camera does NOT work at all, freezes as soon as I open it. GPS works fine, Google Maps works fine, best firmware except for the camera
R3DA032 - Camera application freezes the entire phone as soon as I launch it or open the cover, GPS works and Google Maps works as well.
The phone came with R3CA037 stock generic. I'm back to R3CA037 for now.. I'm out of ideas, if anyone has ANY suggestions, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! I'm thinking of trying R3BA035.

based by your story, it's obvious that the hardware problem is in the camera... so you might try to change the device

The latest firmware is R3CA038, would suggest you to flash with that firmware.
