Im taking my w890i to voda today to either get it replaced or repaired, and ive backed up everything with MPE.
However will i be able to put all my messages back onto say a w890i with new firmware, or if they decide to give me a new w890i?

yep you can restore them, I have done it from a k610>w660 worked fine, other than a message, saying that because the phones were not the same model the backup may not work.
