pIE stands for pocket internet explorer, so when somebody says 'shut the effing piehole', make sure he's talking about a different thing.
- 2004. Nokia reportedly funding Minimo (mozilla.org/projects/minimo), dissatisfied, started the Web (forum.nokia.com/series60browser) which is based on Webkit (webkit.org).
- Minimo continues.
- 2007/8. I use the Web until somebody disabled it. the last site I visited before the browser died was minimo page at mozilla.
- last tuesday, somebody attacked my minimo *wow!*
I'm a victim of both contending parties. sadly, both are from open source community. Web: has the browser warned users that it is provided as is? "Dear user, your use of this software is subject to teh LGPL - the license can be found somewhere in the net. The software is provided as is, that means whenever it's broken, you fix it, dammit. Don't blame Nokia(r), Symbian(tm), their supplier, distributor, service provider, your operator, and god. That's all there is in it."
don't wanna have gecko or khtml (hopefully chrome won't be ported to android).
why should i pay for a browser: opera mobile, netfront, thunderhawk, doris??
I hate proxied browser: opera mini, thunderhawk, ucweb (ucweb.com), teashark.
jb5 (jataayu.net) is good but not too good enough, besides it's a third party app, I need to download and install before I can use the browser.
what abt avantgo? danger hiptop? other up-based buhrowser? what r u talkin' bout?
pIE is a free, lightweight, customizable (if we know how) browser. or maybe i'm wrong?
leftists win everywhere but conservatism gains momentum?

this is an irony, considering internet was born in a permissive society and has been serving as a medium for sharing ever since invented.

i use both, if I had to choose one, it would be IE, because Opera can't handle certificates. It takes only one, but even then it changes url. no matter what I do I can't convince it there is another dot in the url. Explorer on the other hand has no problem with my certificates.
