Err... I don't think it will work with Hotmail, unless you have a paid Hotmail account. It is a Hotmail issue, nothing to do with SE

not true, you can just use System Seven Push Email and you can actually get Hotmail pushed straight to your P1. Been doing so for about 4 or 5 months. Amazing piece of tech, and essentially makes my P1 as effective as a blackberry

seven.com i think is the web address, make sure to sign up for the beta program .

Enjoy

Agreed, SEVEN is the one I use.
Have used it over 1 year now, with 2 hotmail accounts, 2 gmail ones, 1 yahoo and 1 work emai/calendar . It does have a hiccup every once in a while but it is the best push email client I've seen

ActiveSync is the one that does not work with hotmail, or does it?

When I try to install the Seven software it says that that push software is already on the P1i and does not install. What is the work around for this? Seven seems to be better than the installed push software?

i think that it is referring either to blackberry web or the active sync as opposed to the in built push email. So maybe try and install either of those first.

Though if i were you i'd wait till someone can back me up as I'm not 100% sure.

That shouldn't be a problem. It'll display a warning message and ask if you'd like to continue.
