> W350 mono walkman phone!
Bookmark topic
Got a w350 and was happy with it (wish I could turn off walkman mode when flip's closed) until
I noticed that some words were missing when I play mp3s.
And that's how I discovered that mp3 playback is in mono =(

That can't be true. Even if it was mono, it would converge the 2 channels.
The loudspeaker IS mono, however.

Yes on my other sony-ericsson's (even the one's that weren't walkman phones) mp3 playback was converged on mono speakers.
Not the case on my w350 though. Really disappointing.
Somehow i feel like SE isn't as well thought out as they used to be

One of your earbuds is dead. Get 'em checked.

It plays fine on the earphones but not on the loudspeaker.
I hope there's just a problem with my phone or it's something that can be fixed by an update (fw:1205-7395 R11AA011 080612).
But I've checked everything and tried updating the fw but still no joy.

Well yea, all the loudspeakers are mono. Try activating stereo widening in the walkman settings menu.
By the walkman settings menu I mean this one:
