menu from deviant art for k800i,has changed my settings menus tabs icons!,thought had to patch to manage that???

No. Icons in the settings menu can be changed in the menu.ml

boysie,yeah i know.ive tried to write or edit a menu.ml in notepad but not figured it yet.i just didnt know you could change those icons on the tabs just with a new menu.ml. i want to change my icons for all the file types thats all.got new file icons but heard ill have to patch new firmware but my phones cid 53 to struggling at the mo.is that the only way to change the file icons? cheers

Unfortunately the only way to change the file type icons is by patching a SYSGFX patch or by patching the actual icons themselves. And as you're CID53 theres no free way to do that yet.

BTW try searching for MenuEditor to edit menu.ml

just got menu editor recently,will have a look at it.making such a menu a think is such hard work,much respect to the original authors...
