I'm sure this has already been answered but i searched the forums and used the FAQ to little effect
so.. here i go...
I have a T300 and yesterday i bought a datacable, i have some photos i want to upload to my pc from my phone. How do i do this? Is there software i need? If so, where can i get it from?

hmmm... I have IRda and i send file to phone by clicking right mouse button on the file and choise from menu send to the nearest computer...

Go to the FAQ
there's a list of software there
just download the software 'send file' by christersson.org and then attach ur phone, ur PC will recognize ur phone automatically

You can't send files (pictures in your case) with datacable from your phone to yout PC. In your case the datacable was a bad investment
Buy an IR or Bluetooth adapter! No additional software are needed and it works in both directions...
