I got no problems. It is working just fine.

(1) Create adhoc connection on Vista with WEP security.
(2) Give manual IP address to wireless adapter on Vista. (I gave 90.0.0.3/255.255.255.0)
(3) Scan for this network on your P1i. Once got, save the network using the WEP key. DO NOT CONNECT !
(4) Go to connections in settings and select this adhoc network from the list. Select More>Advanced option and goto IP Config.
(5) Change it to IPv4 and give manual IP settings here. (I have 90.0.0.10/255.255.255.0)
(6) Now connect to this nw from P1i.

Try pinging your P1i IP from Vista. You should receive a reply. All SET !

Dont forget: SE P1i only supports 802.11b

Which means you cannoty connect as long as your router is in the 802.11g mode

This got ME in anyway with encryption: WPA2/PK TKIP !!!

suggest u try to go to "mixed mode" in router. ok i f router har b/g, but if it's only set to max (ie. /g) - well, it won't take in a "b/" -device.

Not an expert, but so I think anyway..
