> MP3 Player as a 2nd memory for P800?
Bookmark topic
Hi all!
I´m waiting for SE to bringthe astonishing P800 to Spain. In the meantime I wonder a few things that haven´t read in any of these wonderful forums.
I have a T68i with the MP3 player device and a 128 Mb MMC, and I wonder if it could be possible for P800 owners to connect this device and use it, just as an external MP3 player so the P800 memory could be use just for apps, games, videos, and so on, or otherwise if it could be possible to use the MP3 player as another memory device in which you could store data, MP4, .doc, .xcl or whatever.
Does anyone know anything about this? I´d be pleasedto read some P800 users opinion/experience about this. Thanks in advance.

sad to say that it can't. The P800 cannot use any of the Ericsson accessories that require dynamic menus. And even sadder is that fact that it uses Sony's (of course) new Memory stick Duo which isn't available yet.
The phone comes with 12MB on board, and comes with a 16MB Memstick Duo.
We'll all just have to wait and hope that the new Memory Stick Duos will be available soon! And hope that they won't be much more expensive than current Memsticks. :s

@MattyB
Memorystick in phone -> phone on USB cradle -> transfer files using Windows file manager (Explorer). Easy to use but not very fast.

You can get memory stick usb adapters, so you could have the ms as a removable disk and copy files to it the same way as when using the mp3 player
