I have a C702, which despite being "dust-protective" has gotten dust on the screen... Which really is kind of irritating. So I've been wondering, how is this with K850i?

Can't say I have heard of dust under the screen of the K850i, however, there have been complaints about dust behind the camera lens cover of the K850i.

But I can live with that, because that's just to wipe the glass with a cloth?

i'm having a K850i for 1 year but not a single dust particle under the display screen... even no dust behind the lens cover.

I had no dust or whatever on my K850 and I was a 'heavy' user, so your good to go..

well i recently bought a 2nd hand k850i( even though i have a n82 i love it to bits) and as i've checked it's a '07 week 42(can't remember exactly) model so it's an early release.

All i can say is that the screen is absolutely pristine since it's scratch resistant and not a spec of dust under it.
There is some dust under the camera lens protective glass(the one above the automatic cover), about 3 noticeable specs, 7 virtually insignificant ones-under direct sunlight they're all invisible.
Worst comes to worse i'll just grab a torx screwdriver open it up remove the camera lens protective glass( or clean out the dust)
Hope that helps

The k850 screen supposed to be scratch resistant????
Tell that to my screen too....The colors started "bleeding" a while ago, so I replaced the screen...otherwise the old one was full of hairline scratches.

if i'm not mistaken it's glass covered, and it says so too on the SE whitepaper. i don't expect the glass coating to be nearly as durable as my nokia 8800's sapphire coating which is really only going to be scratched by heavy heavy abuse or diamonds. But my k850i is year old and under daily poket use it's got next to no scratches, but hey that's just me

The problem with the screen, that there is no glass pryecting the screen...the screen is the front plate. Once it's scrached, you can replace your lcd.

My K850i is 14 months old, never been in a case , not screen protectors, not treated carefully and the screen is perfect.
