I've seen a lot of people with this problem, but is there a solution other than using loud speaker?

You can record what the person says and it will work. The only problem is with the ear speaker itself.

hold down the "C" button, BEWARE this will mute your microphone so hold it once, and hold it again but keep it on the second time and make sure u hold it hard or use handsfree
