> w880i USB device not recognized?
Bookmark topic
I have a w880i and I'd like to update it with SEUS of flash it with XS++ or setool2lite or some other flashing software. Ihave a problem with this phone, this phone generates a 'USB device not recognized' error whenever I connect this phone to my laptop (Windows XP Professional SP2).
Has anyone come across this error before and thus know how to resolve it?
I have tried numerous drivers for the usb cable and none of them work or do you think that this could be a hardware fault?
Please help?
Thanks,
k750man.

It is button 2 instead of C.
Change port, phone turned off hold 2 and connect the cable.

Hi there,
I've tried holding down the 2-key, etc- Thanks!. Even the latest version of SEUS cannot detect this phone (whilst I hold down the 2 key). I'm beginning to think it's a hardware fault. I'll need to open it up for a look. Anyone know any good tutorials with pictures or video for dismantling a w880i? I've seen a couple for taking the case off but I'd like to see pictures of taking the keypad and lcd apart, etc?
If anyone knows about this 'USB not recognozed' error then that'd be great also!
Thanks,
k750man.

I guarantee you that it is not a hardware fault.
It is just a driver fault.

I agree with totalgsm. Try by disabling anti-virus, firewall and then uninstalling the SE drivers and then reinstalling the drivers.

Thanks guys.
I'll try disabling AV and Firewall, uninstalling drivers and then reinstalling them.

Did your PC find the "new hardware" after the drivers were uninstall? Was there any error message when the drivers were being installed? Which OS you have in your PC? Did you try another PC?
