> p1i problem using ringtone

I`ve got one of these phones and am having problems settings one of my own songs as a ringtone.I go to sound and alerts and call voice,then i go to find sound.Then when i select the song,it says not allowed.Can anyone help me please?

in the media player, you can go to music, highlight the music you want to set as ringtone, press the music tab, manage, set as ringtone.

I`ve tried everything but it still won`t let me have this mp3 as a ringtone.It will let me have other mp3 as a ringtone but not the one i want.It keeps saying not allowed,which i think is strange.

probably the mp3 has some drm protection.

It has`nt.I even found a shortned version of the song on another cd,ripped it.Tried it again.And got the same problem.Not allowed.All the other songs work as mp3,but not the one i want.

I havenīt had any problem with ripping mp3 and using as ringtones.

This is the first problem i`ve had with setting a mp3 as a ringtone.It`s been a ringtone on others phones of mine,w800,p990i,etc but when i go to set it as one for the p1i,it says not allowed.Very strange.I`ve even ripped it in wave,with the same problem,not allowed.May i say also,the mp3 is not protected with drm.Oh,the song is word up by cameo.Every other song works as a ringtone,except that one song.
