I have got a Vodafone customized p990. What happened to me is that whilst I was charging the phone i got a call and while talking i unplugged the charger. the phone rebooted and now it's in a weird state in which the screen in back annd the phone vibrating. no way to switch it on. does anyone know whether there is a hw reset button? i am not even able to reflash the phone via the online update sw...
Thanks a lot,

hi and welcome.

this phone doesnt have a reset button(as calculators ). the only way to having it back is re-updating it with SEUS. what message you get when trying to update it?

if you cannot see anything on the screen, maybe tranced can give you a button sequence that gives you a master reset.

thanks a lot for the welcome. Actually I am not quite used to fora so I hope I am replying to your comment in the right way.
Basically I have tried to update the sw with the SE tool, but this seems not possible. When I plug the usb connector, the screen stays dark and the phone keeps vibrating. The tool suggests to keep and hold the 'C' key (actually i removed the the flip so I try holding 'Alt + Del', but nothing happens at all!). Prior to this malfunction (ie 3-4 days ago) I updated the phone to the latest sw!!

You can either hold the 'c' key on the qwerty keyboard or hold the @ button on the side of your phone when using SEUS Alt-Del wont work. I hope this helps
