is it possible in any way to modify the QCIF on my s500i to a higer res, a firmwear or some sort of program....anything , it's driving me nuts.....thanks in advance

it does not depend on the camera megapixels..... it depends on the phone's hardware ability to handle large data bitrates.
i think SE is limiting the video recording resolution on purpose!!!
