Im using w960 with new york tmobile but i cant get any 3G reception... Even i use da sim card in G1... My network setting is on GSM and 3G

As far as I know, the W960 only has the UMTS 2100 band. To be able to receive 3G from T-Mobile USA, you will need both UMTS 1700 and UMTS 2100 in your phone, one for up-link and the other for down-link. Your G1 can pick up the 3G signal because it has both 2100 and 1700, as it was made for T-Mobile.

That is correct. The only way to get 3G on Tmob US is with a Phone that is offered by Tmobile US. Otherwise you are SOL. Sorry out of Luck. I am in the same boat with my K810i. However, EDGE is possible if you have a phone that is able to do that.

wow... 1700 n 2100?! dats like almost no fone have it excpt tmobile fones... not even x1 which i wanna get for my next fone... is only HSDPA 850,1900,2100
