Hey, just bought a c902 for CPW and seriously un-impressed, so wanting to take it back asap, does anyone know the policy for swapping phones at CPW?? I checked there website and they only show it if you buy it online or order on the phone, and it says the policy is different.
THANKS

Does it not say on the back of the receipt that you got with your phone? Also, it would be handy if you gave info on how long ago you bought the phone.

Their policy is bad, I know many a person who couldn't take their phones back.
CPW and P4U are middle-men, if you want a phone, go staraight to the network for it
Lesson learnt (you'll see why)
Good luck though

I have dealt witht them before, they are very seedy in a way. They have very poor after service, the worse part is even if you know your statutary rights, cpw for some reason doesnt go by the law and makes up its own law, take w910 i bought, didnt work so took it back demanded a refund, apparentley you are not allowed a refund and you can only have a repair. That contradicts with the law that if your product is under 1 year waranty and the goods werent fit for its purpose (which it wasnt) you deseve a full refund. Cut the story short, i got a refund for w910 (£210) but it took a lot of phone calls, some times its not woth the hassle.

They have no legal responsibilty to give you your money back. It is very unlikely that they will give you a refund. In the end they are there to make money and cant sell a used phone as new.
If the phone is faulty then they have to either repair or replace it if it is under 30 days old or repair it if its between 1 and 12 months old.

Is it pay as you go or not? You can return handsets but not on T Mobile or Orange upgrades. You cant have a refund on pay as you go but can exchange only once. It says everything in back of their in store brochure.

But ONLY within 28 days anything after that it's a repair.
I can't stand it when people start quoting trading standards and the sales of goods act, if they actually bothered to READ it, it says we have to offer to repair it or replace it, not guarentee a replacement. I had a guy the other day who kept argueing with me saying "no, thats NOT all you can do, I want a refund or an exchange" and I kept telling him he was never going to get it, but it seemed to go in one ear and out the other...

@daedalus....
i know exactly what u mean having served 5yrs in Vodafone Retail in the Busiest store in the UK lol.
THey come in saying it doesnt work, u find the problem, fix it and they turn round and want a refund... u adv them u cant give a refund they spout the law and buyers right, u then adv them of the t&c's in store and that they have agreed to them by buying the handset from u... they go away adv they will seek legal advice.... never to be seen again until the following year when they come back for an upgrade from their original phone!
Loved it but luckily dont do it anymore...

Under the sales of good acts if the product is not fit for its purpose you should get a refund as long as it is under 1year waranty, for some reason CPW thinks otherwise. Also when i purchased a phone i did not sign a contract stating that if i my phone is damged CPW will repair it etc, so i am entitled to a refund. Anyway i can see why you would be sick of it though as you have literally have no powers, tbh i think cpw has the worst after service, the are rude, they lie, they all chew gum (which is extrmeley rude) and you never speak to the same people twice as every time you enter there is a new set of staff (this applies to the cpw in Leeds and my own personal experience, no offence is inteneded but that is the service i recieved). Anyway i had a faulty w800i last year i had it for 8months took it to the store and demanded a refund as after a reapair the problem was still there. Cut story short i got a refund, but i had to speak to customer service and many other people.
