Does this still exist? I am looking to get a gmail email address rather than a googlemail.com account. Please can anyone help? Thanks

thats correct but the problem here is that in UK you get an @googlemail address rather than a @gmail address due to some other company previously already had gmail as a trademark
I believe you can use a non uk proxy to create a gmail account, or get someone outside of UK to create it for you

tried that but everytime I go to accept terms and conditions, it refreshes the page stating please re-enter the password, any ideas?

even though you have a googlemail account gmail will still work....
ie...
if you were
joe_bloogs@googlemail.com
joe_bloogs@gmail.com would also work..
well it does for me.. but I signed up way before it way googlemail....

It seems to work for me too, but the reply email address comes back as
xxxx@googlemail.com and I dont really want people using my email address to have any confusion.
any ideas?
