Hi,

Avid reader of this boards but only post when I've got a problem! Hence this post. Sorry.

My P1i was involved in an alcohol related incident resulting in it's untimely death yesterday! It's off to the big foneyard in the sky.

I am now using my P990i until my upgrade in early February.

I have numerous PC Suite backups on my PC from my P1i and thought I could hook up my P990i and restore the contacts on to it. Turns out this is not possible.

Anyone any ideas on how I can possibly get my contacts from one of my saved backups?

I know it's a long shot but if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can go about this it would be greatly appreciated.

Contacts backed-up on your mem card?If not,other than a P1 to try to restore your backup on an identical model,I can't see a way.

If you have back up files in ur PC from P1,you should ectract it first,just use winRar or winZip,actually those back up files are zip files,but in different name.
After it extracted,you can choose what files will upload to ur P990,include the contacts,agenda and jotter.
Just try.
