hi

i wanted to know how do i identify which c905 phone i have

The C905a is Triband HSDPA+UMTS
850/1900/2100

C905i has UMTS
2100

if it has the 850mhz in the 3g is the "a"

Don't worry about it. The C905a is not even out yet. However, you could check two ways:
1. Behind the battery is the nameplate which should tell you the model OR
2. >*<<*<* to access your service menu then service info then model info.
