> Ideas for Valentines Day
Bookmark topic
I have probably left it a little late, but anyone have any ideas on where I can take my missus for Valentines day?
I was thinking go spend the night in a hotel. Somewhere old fashioned with a four poster bed, Candle lit dinner, etc. Somewhere with great views.
I live in london, so im willing to drive 2/3 hours.

in my experience in UK you can't beat Dorset/Bournmouth/Poole for such getaways though I tend to take my mrs in the spring/summer months rather than wintery months so that we can walk outdoors along the dorset clifftops and lulworth cove etc
otherwise, maybe a Eurostar trip to Paris?

Have a look at Dorchester, Dorset Soulframe, about 30 mins away from Poole and B'mouth but a totally different place, nothing wrong with Poole and Bornemouth at all, but having lived here for most of my life, I don't see it to be that romamntic!!
If you do want Poole/B'mouth have a lookey at

From a female viewpoint I'd have to agree with everyone else, would go with Dorset too , lovely place.
Would be very pleased if my OH whisked me off there for valentines.

Thanks fatreg.
I've finally decided on the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel. The reviews on Tripadvisor are fairly decent.
Now to find a good restaraunt and a club to go to in the area.
Is The Old Firestation any good?

The Old Firestation is hosting a hip/rnb night (Twice As Nice) on Valentines day. Thats why I asked about it. But if its full students, then I might not go(nothing personal, i'd just feel to old to go somewhere like that)
If there are better clubs for that kind of music in the area then i'm all ears!
Foodwise, looking for Italian/Mediterranian cuisine.

I have a question? Been on a couple of dates with a guy, we both like each other but he will be moving to Reading in the week for a new job and will only be back at the weekends. Obviously this is a great opportunity for him which is brilliant but less time for us to see each other as i'm not guaranteed weekends off.
I've known him since the end of November and we've only managed to meet up twice but have spoken on the phone and online. Anyhow we've decided to stick to seeing each other when he is back up here as it's only a 3 month contract to start with and he may be based up here after that.
So with that in mind to i get something for valentines or not? I don't want to look like a complete idiot and get something too much and would feel like awful if he got me something.
Work is busy for me and i have a few life changing things going on at the moment so not looking for something hugely heavy anyway but I don't want anyone else to get their hands on him.
