Skype has released a Java version of Skype compatible with G700/900, available at
http://mobiledownload.skype.com/. I have installed it on my P1, which seemed to work fine. I can use the program to chat, however any attempt to make calls fail.
When installed I was warned that traffic needed to go over http because of my provider settings. Could this be the reason of my problems, or does it just not work on P1? Has anyone else tried this?

It says I cannot use voice call service in my region. Also it's quite slow, and can't realy use the touchscreen with this app on my G900. But it's a beta, so it may change soon...

I always had problems with fring... Just one, with the latest try: can't be closed in task manager, not even with swissmanager.

I can't make calls with Skype. It's maybe cuz I chose not to receive calls(for which I have to pay?).
