I made a new thread because the subject is completely different. My network is Beeline (in Russia). If I ever want to flash back to beeline's firmware, I would need their fs data. My idea is, I should save my current fs before unbranding it, but I would like to know how.

In the additional, if anybody live in europe timezone, may we talk on msn so it will be easier and safer for me to flash my se k510i, because it is my first time for flashing the phone.

Thanks!

@tranced, all what they did is putting "beeinfo" in the entertainment section, in there, there's information about beeline, getting wap-gprs from there.. buying games from beeline, using beeline's translator, ects ects. If you're thinking it's an application (.JAR), no it's not .jar. They edited the menu in entertainment section.

Nothing more, really. They leave the sony ericsson's games in there when I buy it, eh. They're neat.

And oh, is there any way to find out if my phone is branded or unbranded?

Are you sure that is not SIM-menu only?
Did you try putting another SIM (of different operator) in the phone?
Is it work?
You can check if your phone is branded by following way:
In standby mode -> unlock keypad and press:
>*- go to service info -> go to SIM lock
If all lines are shown unlocked - your phone is not branded
_______________________________
">" means joystick (key) right
""*" means * of keypad

Good luck!

@goldmen, all lines are unlocked! (5)

That mean I can just get xs++ and get .thm and .swf and then flash it? Will it also lose all things in the internal memory?

And I don't want to get a new SIM card from different operator to see if it's sim-only. Like everyone in Moscow use beeline.

And oh, btw, I bought this phone from a store, and it does not included the new sim card. I just use my old sim card from the old phone and stick it into my new phone, works like a charm.

No,files with extension *.thm and *.swf are for changing phone`s interface olny and nothing more.
If you mean to flash your phone just like preinstaling software (operating system) on the PC,then you will need XS++ with correct files with extension *.mbn and *.fbn
Usualy,in the Internet, they are archived and you will find`em with extension *.rar

P.S. And,YES,you will lose all things in the internal memory and the phone will become brand new!
BTW,very good info in russian language you can find HERE

Yeah may be the SIM menu. It has one in my phone too. Anyway, the sim menu can be removed I think.. By deleting it's code in the menu.ml file. But you won't be able to access it later. If you hate it that much, you should edit your menu.ml file. If it is not the SIM menu, you can flash the phone... Saving the firmware on never phones can be done with SEMC Tool 8 or later, but you can't do it with the regular USB cable. As far as I know SEMC tool works, with cruiser service cables...
