hi i have an w890i and the problem with it is that it does switch on but the screen stays black and u can even hear the thing.also tere is a red light on the back so is there a way i can fix it because it was my birthday present .

Sorry I misread your first post!
You say it works but black screen. Sounds like a hardware issue mate. If its still under warranty, get another or if not I'd take it for repair.

i have just taken out the battery, sim card & memory card and wiped them over with switch cleaner on a cloth - hopfully that might cure it
next stop i am going to order a new battery
next stop download new firmware
