On my out of warranty K770i, I cannot hear :

- Music, which is playing, through the main speaker
- Voice calls once I attempt to switch on the main speaker i.e. I cannot listen to calls "hands free"
- The phone, when it is ringing (so I have to rely on the vibrate function).

I have not knowingly done anything to cause this fault although today I replaced the speaker / antenna box (supplied by www.mytrendyphone.com) - and it makes no difference.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Dear Aquared,

Thank you. I cannot understand how surface dirt would disable the sound. Can you clarify please and / or give me your thoughts on what in particular I should clean please ?

Thank you

U done replacing the speaker? remove it again, clean the place where it was attached with pencil eraser by rubbing where the legs/tip of a speaker connected

Thank you.

I think you are referring to the impedance across the main speaker which I now know is working OK. It would really helpful if anyone knows teh voltage and impedance across the pins that connect into the speaker. That way I can maybe work back and see if it is a motherboard fault.
