I'm in process of buying a new Sony Ericsson cellphone and i got 4 choices the P990, the W910, the K800 and the V640 but i need help i've checked Sonys website and they all seem like great phones but i can't buy all 4 can only afford 1 so out of those 4 what one do you prefer and why? Thanks heaps

W910 - More features than V640i and now at a very good price.
V640i - Underrated, lots of phone for the price. Check out my V640i review here.
K800 - A100 is showing its age. If you're serious about a cameraphone, its worth spending more for one of the latest 5.0Mp+ phones.
P990 - Bad reputation, old style, UIQ is dead, get an iPhone 3G instead.

How about considering W890 and T700? A200, good camera's, low prices.

Hey thanks for your input i got $200NZD for a new phone & i more or less want one that is music made not camera made you know one like V640i with its Album Art etc but if you can give me ideas on other cheap phones besides the ones i have here that would be great i'll check out those ones you said carkitter Thanks can i have a lil more help buying a new phone is confusing.

Make sure you stop by the New Zealanders thread and say hello

V640i is a bargain at the moment and W910 is half it's original price. G502 has same spec as V640i but more internet focus and I think the firmware may be more stable. Check out the Dick Smith Electronics website clearance section for some real bargains.
Among the importers, Expert Infotech is the cheapest and has a huge range.

hmm... well if i wer u.... just get the P990i... all the features u wanted... and P990i so good with the wireless speakers of SE and to your car... iphone is just a crap man....

Yep i'm a Kiwi & I know i'm using one now to use this forum good old V640i huh see unlike you my V630i did the old white screen of death trick on me so i thought upgrade time & well certain auction site in NZ that was selling V640i cheap & new i got the gold & i've had it for about a year time for a change the V640i is ok apart from center button which is fading

I won't do major retailers as they charge out the nose but that second site i will check out sounds tempting & keep checking NZs Biggest Auction Site i'm sure you know the one...so your like a phone person what would be a huge memory (i got a 4GB M2 in my V640i but it has some faults like switching off now & then so what can hold a 4GB M2 memory card & mainly about music but have the joys of 3G, Wap & SMS etc) Any Ideas

I personally ain't a fan of the IPhone there too over-hyped in my view so don't worry don't think i will be getting one of them...prefer to stay with a brand i now trust aka Sony Ericsson its just all there K750s, V640s, W910s, P990s its all so confusing & hard to make a right choice i don't want to get the wrong phone which is why i'm turning to esato members for...help & support which i'm grateful for so thank you in advance

That's a good deal.

I have an iPhone 3G and its not overhyped.
P990 is a smartphone and the basic definition of a smartphone is a phone which runs 3rd party applications. The best third party Apps are on the App Store so that makes the iPhone 3G the best smartphone platform going.

v640 it shouldn't even be there.....go for k800 if you wan't a cameraphone,and if youl like sliders and music go for w910
