> Am I crazy? nokio 5800 to c905
Bookmark topic
I am used to SE phones since the T68,I LOVE their build quality and software while I always said nokia is cheap for the mass!
I wanted a replacement for my K850 1 month ago,I was tempted to take a Iphone but the lack of buetooth and WAP is to bad for me,so I looked towards SE and found only the C905 which is in pics very fat and not touch!
Nokiu came and told me: ''hey dude I can sell you the 5800XM,it's a 3.2'' touch screen with all the options that were missing in the iphone + a karlos zeiss camera!!!''
I bought it!
But after 1 month of usage,I found that:
-Battery is not good and can't finish 30 hours(and I am a light user)
-Camera give the same results as a K700 even worse.I am not a camera pone addict but what the hell?
-Playschool look! Is it me or it wasn't that ugly when I bought it?
-Screen is DOH in sunlight
Ok here is my questions for C905 users:
-Battery without 3G can last 2-3 days?
-Screen quality is very nice? (colors rendering, pixels and brightness)
-Speaker volume for ringtone Louder than K850?(one of the 5800 advantage)
-LightMe or other Torch apps let you use the flash as a torch like on the k850?
-GPS works well? using the jogging GPS app is nice?
-Am I crazy to trade my 5800 with a C905 just for the superior look, camera
and sun eligibility??
Yes the SE materials chosen in the C905 are fat better than the cheapo plastic of the 5800

First of all! The c905 is not fat its the same size as the k800i and if the right model is chosen the build quality is spot on!
I would say the battery without 3g with light usage would last 3 days.
The screen is really clear and makes good use of the pixels, best se i've seen, doesn't beat ipod though.
And the speakers have nice clear, deep and loud sound.
Overall i think its a good phone with great features!
The c905 has a seperate 3super bright LED torch that burns ur eyes just to look at so no worries about the torch! to see videos of how good the torch is see this:

When you say the screen is not as good as iphone,do you mean the size, resolution or under sunlight?

amount of colours, c905 has 262144 but the iphone has 16000000. The screen is good in the light i'd say go for it!
The only thing the phone isnt good for is watching full length movies but the iphone/ipod touch is good at that.

So I am not crazy to switch from 5800 to C905?
Nokia users told me that it's like trading a bicycle with a ferrari
What about the Torch? the 3rd apps like Lightme allows you to use the flash as torch?

im no good with my nokias, never had one but i just did a simple comparison:
http://www.esato.com/phones/index.php/phone=390,cp=410 and your phone seems to have good features! if it doesnt cost you, i'd come over to the sony ericsson family
the flash cannot be used as torch but it has a seperate torch that is used to focus that is just as bright as the flash. The camera does produce good pictures in my mind, one quick take is this

isnt the best it can do but not bad for a phone?

Nope your not. Seriously go for it i mean it should be worth it. Now that its been out for a while and we are in 09 you should wait for a 5 or week 6 '09 model to buy. What do i mean by that? Well the phone gets made in weeks and well if you buy the newer ones from 09 like week 4 or 5 or 6 then the build quality should be a bit better then the 08 models like the earpiece wont bug out or the slide would work smoothly. And if your talking about going from the 5800(bike) to the 905(ferarri) then yes. Otherwise if your talking bout the other way then no lol the 905 should be a bit better. And its a lot simpler when it comes to the UI. Seriously after 3 years of using an SE phone i temporarily used a nokia and gave up on the symbian interface.
