My headset disconnects whenever I get an incoming sms. I have to re-connect it by choosing "turn hands-free on". Is this normal on the X1i?

yes, there are major bt connectivity problems with the x1 it has been a very big subject, we will have to wait till sonyericsson corrects this in a future firmware update. see this topic http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=179780#post2532284

thanks for the feedback. I recently updated to R2AA0008 and the issue still exists. So it may be a while before we see a fix for it in a firmware patch based on SE's history of firmware patch role out cycles.
