I am having the same problem.. am new to these forums.
Have had a look around and i can see that other people are having the same problems, but i was interested in which routers/isp's others are having problems with? I am with BT Total broadband (unlimited) with a HomeHub 1.5 and can stream YouTube over wifi but not the BBC Iplayer.. (says failed to connect to media server)
Can anyone shed any more light on this problem?
Many thanks

Hi Folks
I just got my C905 on the 5th feb from o2 in UK. While Connecting to my home network with Wi-Fi, was able to get both "You Tube" and "BBC Iplayer" working without any problems (Althought the quality on You Tube Vids ain't great, the Iplayer stuff is Excellent). Firmware is R1BA038081016.

hope this helps.

I had loads of problems in this area, check my posts on the past few pages for a run though of my experience..

My problem was down to my router, in the end I spent £30 on my own router a NetGear DG834GT which works great on all counts. iPlayer works fine and youtube & vTap stream great, vTap is really good means you can access google video and dailymotion amongst others.

Anyways my guess is its your cable router, spend some money on a NetGear they are teh don!

Just incase anyone is still stuck getting the iplayer to work over wifi, when you hook your phone up to your wireless router you have to give your mobile direct access to the internet, by this i mean if its still behind the routers automatic firewall it wont work. In the case of my router, a D-Link DI-524 i have assigned my phone a static ip address, then put that ip address in the Demilitarized zone, or DMZ. Basically all this does is bypass the routers firewall for the chosen IP address. Do this and the player will work no problem

Cheers
