Does de-branding = flashing = updating?
My mobile 6 month old SE used to be fine - now it wont wake up (have to take the battery out)
I convinced it's a virus from a game
Hardware works fine & it's definately software issue
I have recently updated latest software (is that flashing?) & hard reset - but that hasn't worked
I'm trying to find out what other software could've become corrupt & only thing i can think of is de-branding
although my phone has no branding, the software must be there somewhere & it could be corrupt
How can i de-brand a w890i?
Is de-branding affected by software update? (Is it same soft/firm ware?)

First, ur phone CAN'T get viruses. Debranding means flashing generic firmware ie no operator rubbish on it. If u have updated the firmware and have no operator branding then u have generic firmware.

If i have a software problem ( and i know for sure it is software) & i have installed the latest update - it only leaves one place the problem can be
The problem must be in the same soft/firmware memory as is reserved for branding (unless you know of any other area of memory - all ideas welcome cuz it's doing my head in)
If so then de-branding software should reset/restore that memory back to it's original fault free state
