Hi. How do I unlock these phones and is it possible to do it for free via USB cable through my PC? I kind of dont want to pay £20 to have them unlocked by T mobile.

The k800 is possible to unlock it by a patch. the k850 isnt. you will need to pay to get it unlocked.

Not fair that I have to pay for the K850
. I just paid £10 for a new housing and just want to rehouse it and sell both phones, but they are locked to T mobile. I found the K800 patch and will try it at a later time.

have in mind that the patch will get lost if the phone gets updated. you better unlock it by cable or imei if you're gonna sell it.
