I was updating my FW for my k800i from R1JC002 to R8BF003 and I need help. After I get upload completed, I unplugged the usb cable and pulled the battery out for 30 seconds. Inserted my SIM card and battery and turned on the phone. I get "Insert correct SIM card" error message.

So I removed my SIM card and connected my phone to xs++ and noticed it didn't upload to the new FW. I'm still on the R1JC002 FW and nothing changed to my phone.

Please help me try to fix this

Your phone was probably patch unlocked so flashing has erased that patch. U will need to reapply that patch after doing the QAPatch procedure for u to use that sim without paying.

U need to do a full flash ie Main, fs and cda for it to show in xs. If u look in the service menu u will see that ur firmware has been updated but under customization it will still show ur old version.

I just connected my phone back to xs++ and it says R8BF003 as my FW which is what I was trying to do.

But I'm still getting the error message regarding my SIM card
