Hiya guys. Paid for an unlocking code from an online company and got it tonight. Problems abound!
The number had 8 digits! He send me this code and a 16 figure backup number. I did the normal of getting to the MEP2 bit, entered the number and it came up with code error. This was with my sim card in. I then emailed him and he came back and said that there should be a non working sim card in there. As I have no other cards but Orange, I put my old sim in that is non working and it came up with the same error. I then put no sim in and tried again with the same result.
Due to being given a duff number by another unlocking company (that had about 12 digits in it), I now have only two tries left out of the original 10.
So question? What is the length of a BB unlocking code and is there a special way of entering the code? What is the backup code for.
I am scared stupid that if I try it any more, it will be permanently locked and have to go to Orange for whatever. They wouldn't give me a code on asking as they said it was not my account and the phone was not mine. Emails to Scottt have gone unanswered as he has disappeared off the planet.
Any advice please guys?
