some people have asked how i got the update so i thought i would create a quick tutorial to help people out.

All the files you need are located at http://www.4shared.com/dir/4216044/de90d8ea/sharing.html this includes the FS, MAIN, custom pack and A2 uploader that will allow you to do the update through SEUS. files are up and ready.

Please note your antivirus might say that A2 uploader has a virus attached. It doesnt on my screen shots you might see i have my virus protection off to allow it to work!


1. Load A2 uploader and enter the Main and FS files into the by clicking "add" once these are added you can press "flash" and connect your phone by turning off, removing and replacing battery and holding the C button while you connect.



Disconnect phone and remove and reinsert battery. do NOT turn on your phone

2. Click "File system tool" then connect phone like before.



navigate through TPA - PRESET - CUSTOM and copy and paste the files from the "R5A_C905_CDF_1212_7297__FS__Customized_HK" folder. dont copy the theme or java folders only the files.

remove and reinsert your battery. this time load your phone, choose english as the lauguage.

4. Plug your phone into SEUS and a new update will be available, just download like usual!

Thanks, couldn't be simpler, but theres already numerous tut's on how to use A2 round the forum, i.e. tranced, you could have asked him to edit his tut with them links, but thanks anyway

I figured this out!

You don't need to download anything!

Simply edit the CDA to: 1212-7297

Use SEUS then for looking for updates, it will say there is an avaliable update.

Download the A2 CDA File Generator from Se-nse.net forums, I dont have the link right now. It'll generate a custpack xml for you that you need to upload in the 'tpa/preset/custom' folder.

hi im from the UK

i have followed all these steps, and can confirm it DOES work...

the only drawback is that some of the applications are now in chinese and have chinese titles,

smile shutter is there though, and you tube, the messaging view does not appear to be there however, havent noticed anything else as yet.

Good and bad news it does works now im on R1DA032 but i got no access to network :S im afraid of this why this happend?? im from mexico my phone is unlocked please help me
