I would like to know is it difficult to release a candybar walkman with a specification of w995 .but SE couldnt do that instead it chose to use a c905 model add the walkman buttons .why could it not release a candy bar with 8mp walkman 4.0 ,3.5mm ,2.1 blutooth not aq slide is that what SE can release a slide phone were is the creative in the the w995 and another thing the hock in the back jus rouened vthe whole phone.

Personaly I love the sliders, so if it was a candybar phone, I won't like it.

It seems the trend since a year or so among manufacturers is to produce more touch and slider phones and less candybar and clamshell one's, at least in the higher price range. I guess the customer demand has changed from candy/clam toward touch/slide, so just get used to it and let the trend be your friend.
I should admit I have been a bit of candybar fan myself for a long time, but with the latest release of SE phones I have slowelly started to shift my opinion, at least when it comes to sliders (pure touch screen phones are still not my thing).

Ive been accustomed to using candy bar types of cellphones and pretty much satisfied with it. The only thing that bars me from having slider or clamshell is the possibility of having it loosed in the long run. Thou i admit these types does look good and provides extra protection to the phones screen or keypads. Guess you really cant have everything, you gain some features in exchange for another

On music and camera phones it seems to be best to make a slider, since you wont always need the keypad, although i do think in terms of how long the phone will last, candy bar is better.

With a candybar, the screen will be tiny as hell unless it has a full touchscreen.

Hmmm... at a time when SE is adding wifi & 3.2 Mp cameras to their midrange, A/F &

to their high-end and creating smartphones across 3 different OS platforms, DEAF wants the staggeringly innovative feature of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Some of us get the bigger picture at work here, others don't.
SE just let us in on it's big secret - the Idou - which looks likely to be the first phone in 2yrs to put the iPhone in the shade, but DEAF is more concerned with his inability to cope with the Fastport to 3.5mm jack adapter. Oh well...

You mean like Moto
ZN5, which manages 2.4"(and a 3.5mm jack, to keep DEAF happy), which equals C905's(well, equals/beats every SE ever except smartphones, and now W995)?? Or N79/82?? Good enough for most people......

used to be the masters of the candybar device, shame they've decided consumers want exotic form factors instead these days......
...or was that decision actually made by us consumers??

I would love to see a cyber-shot phone made with the slider like on the W900i that was so cool, how you slid it open and you had the different sound effects like a sword being drawn etc. So one of them but MUCH thinner then the W900 would be awesome.
