Aparentley the w995 uses walkman 4.0 but is in "beta" stages, so what would people like to see in walkman 4.0 specifically software wise as 3.0 is pretty advance, and does anyone have information regarding 4.0, such as new features etc?

Haha your funny. That DJ thing is a real gimmick nothing special. The time machine care to explain? Anyway skin support sounds nice that means the music buttons in it are customizable and such right? Also hmm if its V4 then should it not be on A300? If not then what its running on A250?

A playlist editor would be nice, i mean, in Walkman 3 you cannot change the order of songs once you've added them in a playlist....

Also, some keyboard shortcuts for basic stuff like adding songs in queue, ala Cybershot UI (Think 3,6,9,#)...

Thats all i can think of now...

I like the idea of been able to choose tempo and mixing tracks etc, also we all know what se are like for gimmicky features, shake control, smile shutter.....

Time machine is a feature used on all sony walkman mp3 players, you press the "ok" button and the dates shuffel on screen e.g 1993 to 2004 it then plays a song from that date, im pretty sure the w960 used some form of time machine as well

ive got one! They could update the microphone so that you can add your voice to your stored music using an updated version of music DJ, i also think music DJ should be put in the walkman player, that would incorparate the DJ feat used in new samsung phones

I also think you should be able to make your own tunes using music DJ then be able to Upload them to play now plus, and charge 10p per track and you get 1p credit for every song that is bought

The music DJ from samsing aint happening forget it already! And as i said seeing as i got a chance to test it(i am lucky enoguh to have friends who are testers for mobile companies) its really stupid imo. i mean what a fake scratch table and some other stuff aint happening. 10p for midi crap is useless and uneeded if you want to make real music go to a studio not your phone.

I would be nice if they put Voice recording in mp3 format, not in midi. This is just what i think, maybe this has nothing with walkman 4
