I just got an N96 as an upgrade but don't really like it very much.
It's brand spanking new and I'm assuming it's locked to Orange but it has no branding or Orange icons.
Really I'm just seeing how much I can get for it and ideally trade it for a G1 that will work on Orange.
So sensible cash offers or G1!
I'm in the Bristol area by the way.

Does the G1 work perfectly with any Sim? I can still use 3G access and the google app centre fine?
Also is it stil under warranty?

yeh would work fine just need to re enter the apns which is easy and the app store works fine.
its been reflashed with non tmobile software so doesnt look anything like tmobile g1. can be reflashed back so warranty is fine.
what are the branding on the n96?

best place to check is
www.xda-developers.com for info on the rooted G1's. dont need any programs to flash just copy the update file to the sd card and then reboot whilst holding the Home and Back buttons down!

I just rang Orange an they won't unlock it because the phone is in the first month.
