Hi, I have a Win XP Pro laptop with Office 2000, a T68i phone and a Dlink DBT-120 USB bluetooth adapter. I have installed the software that came with the bluetooth adapter, and I have installed the sync software that I downloaded from the Sony Ericsson site.

The PC can see the phone, and the phone can see the PC. They are paired. However, I cannot sync info with the phone, nor can I use the Dial Up Networking to get online using the phone.

I'm confused as to whether I should be using the Dlink software or the Sony software to accomplish this. I've tried both

The Sony software can't find the phone at all. The Dlink bluetooth software can find it, but keeps telling me there is no assigned port ot connect with. I try to connect over serial ports 1 and 2, but get errors

I've tried everything, its a little maddening. Any help would be appreciated

had the same problem myself have a look in the search faciltiy on esato for something called tecom or just got through some of the bluetooth stuff its listed there.
I have downloaded this software and got rid of the drivers and software that came with my dongle. After installing it re pair the devices then open a connection via the serial port and you should be able to sync with outlook send pics etc
hope this helps

I have also the same problem, the PC and Phone are pair, I can send individual files (phone to PC and PS to phone). But the software sony-ericsson provide is a shame the they name. Also the manual instructions are a mess. I hope more people complain about this. At first I througth it was me. Then I did relize the whole thing was so badly implemented and done in a hurry. I spend lots of my precious time on this sale gimic, for nothing! Synchronization does not work on the Sony-ericsson T68.
Using W/2000, Bluetooth USB, Ericsson T38 and the wonderful sofware package of Sony-ericsson.

I had (have) teh sam esetup and problem. There is som much srticle and press saying sync or echange files via IR or Bluetooth when it turns out only the IR link is fulliong documented and tested. I did get it syncing after finding this link:

... and getting this from ericsson:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Online Support.
Your message has reached our Contact Center and we would like to apologize for any delays in responding to your message.

In order for our software to work, (Xtend PC for Ericsson, My pictures, Image Editor) You must ENABLE and RESERVE the correct Serial port in the mobile phone monitor (this is the icon in control panel called PHONE MONITOR OPTIONS). When you installs the bluetooth software (Bluetooth Neighborhood, My bluetooth Places, Bluetooth manager etc..) It also creates several VIRTUAL COM PORTS. One of these com ports is a Virtual Serial port. Our software (Phone Monitor Options) Needs a viable SERIAL port to tell the extend pc software what comport the phone is connected to.

Still can't transfer pictures.
