I installed it on my iphone a couple of days ago and randomly selected the Kylie station (i.e. Kylie Minogue radio) to try but the tracks I got seemed very random... Madonna, Spice girls, Lisa scott-lee, Annie (who every she is)... but no Kylie tracks!
I'll try it again sometime but maybe I missed the point of it all?

The radio stations are all music around the same sort of ilk and genre as other artists, Not sure how Lisa Scott-Lee is anything like Kylie but yeah, I use it as a scrobbler, it knows what I'm listening to in iTunes/WMP/Winamp and updates my last.fm account with that info, you can then click on what you've listened to and it will list artists close to what you've listened to, you can also look at what your friends have been listening to..
Especially good for nosey parkers like me!
oh, and Annie is
this young lady

ok, I'll give it a bit more of a go this week but I wonder, as I have about 7gb of my own ripped CDs on my iphone, whether it will ever come up with music I don't already have (that I am actually interested in)... and with Genius I can now find stuff similar to what I like that way
I also noticed many of the tracks that last.fm offer are artists on tour and wondered if its just so they can get some kickback by linking to the tour details?
btw, I also noticed the latest iphone ads show last.fm with tour info, through to tour details and booking tickets... so I can't help but think there's some plot in there to simply get more people to concerts

I use it, my username is Mechanicaleeez
@Masseur, you'll also need 'Scrobbled' from Cydia for your iPhone, then you can Scrobble the music your listening to in your iPod.app. Make sure it's Scrobble
d and not just Scrobble though as there's 2 on Cydia.

@masseur I have that problem too, don't think with the iPhone/iTouch app you can request and listen to a particular song/artist, just those of a similar genre.
btw my last.fm user id is sammy-boy

Not used it much yet though so not much in my library, and still getting to grips with scrobbling. Installed that scrobbling app on my laptop, I presume as I listen to music on my laptop it will automatically work out my preferences or something?

Yeah it should be minimized to your system tray when you're listening to music, and it'll show the info on the track you're listening to. If it's doing that, then it's scrobbling!
