Hey, I just received my c905 and this is my first time buying a phone in a long time, and I've previously used the k790 and the k850. I live in Toronto, Canada, (I'm with Rogers) and I've been reading these forums for over a year now, but I've never quite forced myself to post until now.
I've got a few questions, and I hope it's nothing TOO noobish, but bare with me.
1. If connected to a Wi-Fi network, does internet usage and YouTube client and weather services, agps etc. go through my Wi-Fi alone? I've connected to my home network and I'm paranoid that I will be charged with data service charges and such. Will all my data go through the WiFi network Im connected to?
2. How do I find out what batch/week my c905 was made?
3. What is currently the optimal firmware to be on? (I am currently on R1DA32)
4. (I know it's been mentioned around here somewhere, but...) How do I change texting to conversation style?
Thanks in advance
( I LOVE taking pics, so I'll be posting some up soon)
P.S. post any tips/tricks/advice you can give me and my new phone!

1. It should go through your wifi - it has done with mine anyway and hasn't tried connecting to the mobile network. Just make sure you have a decent signal, not sure if it would do if it didn't have a wifi signal or it dropped out.
2. Take the battery out, there should be 5 figures that look like 08w52 - that is the year and week that the phone was manufactured.
3. latest firmware is R1DA032 - very new firmware and may not be available everywhere yet but will be shortly if not!
4. Conversation-style SMS is only available in the latest (see Q.3) firmware version.

Hey, thanks for the reply. My c905 is 09w08.
It came with R1DA032, so how would I go about using conversation-style SMS?

Also, I would only use internet applications at home, or on Wi-Fi, but I still have to choose what kind of data account I would connect with. Which one do I choose?
