I had the exact same problem last week.
Here's my solution thread:

It is likely you have the same problem as me. Basically underneath the plastic camera button is the actually metal button but this easily comes off, and causes the keypad buttons to stop working (for me it was the 2, 3, down and cancel buttons) So open it up and have a look. I've got a link to the official SE repair guide if you need it and you'll need a Torx T5 scrwdriver.
However if your phone is under warranty then return it to the shop or send it to SE Service centre. Good luck
