> P800 or not?

Dear beloved forum members,
I'm now running into a dilemma about the hype going around the P800. I've the T68i and I'm proud of it and I just fiddeled a little with the P800 and it's so interesting phone to have but the price tag of about 970 USD is some how an obstacle to get this phone. So I would like to have your opinion about which is better or even would it make any difference if I opted for a high end PDA to use with my T68i instead of trying to get the P800, afterall I can add all the fancy features of the P800 to the PDA and not getting even closer to its price. And I don't mind carrying two devices instead of one.

Well, I just got mine for 920 shipped today from mphone.co.uk and it is worth it to me
i hate carrying around a pda and a phone. but if u don't mind then don't get a p800 unless u really want a smartphone.

920 is pretty steep... you can get it for $682 in asia for example.

well me personally i would prefer to have one in all especially considiring what your getting for the P800 and since i use it as a phone more than a pda but if your going to use the pda a lot i would still recommend the P800 but thats just me its a excellent phone with pda features that work well with the phone too. im happy with it hope this helps

My verdict;
Ipaq + t68i score 9 out of 10 for looks but 6 out of 10 for combined continuous use.
P8 scores 8 for looks but 9 for use.
PS, battery life is GOOD.

i have a t68i and an ipaq3870 with bluetooth they are the perfict match i surf the net i do presentsions on it etc......... BUT i hate that i ahve to carry two devices so now i am going to buy a p800 and its not cheap once you compare it..
T68i + mca-20 + ipaq3870 = 1320 us but the
p800 = 780 us well here in the Bahrain so u see my point its up to u what u need .

Yes just make it clear my comment on battery life was more of a comparison to the awfull batt life on the ipaq (remember the screen is twice as big) also not removeble so a spare was not an option.
But P8 is never going to be as long between charges as a t68i, screens use loads of power.
So a whole day of constant use or 3-4 (same in my experience) days on standby is very good i think overall.
I can`t say what limitations as a PDA the P* has because it does everything i did on my ipaq, but biggest letdown could be that you can only VIEW MS word,exel & powerpoint, you can`t edit them but this may be changed with a new app.

The phone is great. but the only problem I have is the battery life. I don't know about you guys but for me the battery would last about 28-35 hours with normal usage. But my bluetooth is on all the time. Would that be a problem with the battery life? If yes, should it drain that much battery?
